One of the most prominent features of the mansion is the towering belvedere and spire that reaches 65 feet. The top of the tower with its fourteen foot ceiling has a spectacular view of the countryside below.

The Hoover Dining Room

In 1973, owner Charles Downer attended an auction at the mansion of Herbert Hoover in North Canton, Ohio. Herbert was the son of William Hoover the founder of the Hoover Vacuum Company. Charles purchased and installed the walnut living room into the manor's dining room. The Hoover Dining Room also features a hidden servants stairway and two built-in opulent china cabinets.

The receipt from the auction in 1973. It also shows many other things Charles purchased.

Grand Stairway and Entry Way

Freshly restored plasterwork and paint adorns the Grand Stairway. For two months (current owners) Wesley and Julie Hurless painstakingly restored the plaster in the stairwell and returned it to a lighter color.

This unique entryway still has its original "analog" doorbell, complete with hand crank.

The West Parlor

The West Parlor is a stunning example of ornate design and preservation. The white marble fireplace is adorned with a stunningly large gilded mirror. One of the many original chandeliers in the manor draws the spectators eye. Originally powered by oil it has been painstakingly converted to electric.

The Cherub Room

The Cherub Room receives its name from the intricate cherubs that grace each corner of the hand painted ceiling. The natural light from the large arched window and folding door makes this room perfect as a reading room or library.

The Money Room

The Money room sounds like a funny name for a bathroom but this room was utilized by Mr. Hardy as an office. He was the areas only banker for a time and his safe was located there. It's said that this is where Mr. Hardy did his business but now it's where we do ours!

Mr. Hardy's safe. We have the combination, the mechanism has been disabled and it's empty.
